Foreign Characters downloaded between these dates . . . 9/26/06 to 10/04/06 was defective Fixed it Sorry for the grief and any aggravation . . . just remove the software as described below and download and install the most current version.

insertion into documents or other programs Both Foreign Characters and Calculator by Less-Mess would sometimes fail to insert characters into Word 2003 and Excel 2003. All current Versions have a fix so if you experience any problem with your current version just remove the software as described below and download and install the most current version with the fix. Your original unlock code will automatically open the new version but if you have a problem just e-mail us.

Calculator by Less-Mess 4.50 Introduction version Posted prior to 4/20/06 had a glitch and could fail after 30 days of use on a computer. No data (Tape Files) will be damaged. Go to your Control Panel and remove the program and if questioned answer YES TO ALL on removing other files in the program. Download the version now available and all will be well. Sorry for the grief and any aggravation . . . 

You get an error message when trying to install a program Usually this is caused by an active anti virus program on your computer not allowing the installation software to file what is necessary to install the program. Just shut off the virus program while you install it and then turn it back on when the install is complete. All of our software has been inspected and contains nothing that will harm your computer.

16 bit windows error "When I tried to run your program I got a message saying 16 bit windows subsystem--c:\windows \ system32 \ autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and Microsoft windows applications". - - - or similar error. This has happened to customers several times and appears to be either caused by a Windows update or a Trojan. Go to Goggle with the error message and you will find fixes dependant on your OS

You went to the internet and paid for the software and did not get an unlock code After you paid at PayPal. No big deal just e-mail us your installed serial number as it appears on the "Trial" screen along with the name of the program and we will e-mail you the unlock code

Free trial period  After installation you have 30 days to use and evaluate the software. All of the software is full featured and is not crippled or limited in any manner. When you use the software during the free trial time period a Trial screen will appear that tells you the status of the trial and offers you the option of continuing to use and evaluate the software up to the 30th day or paying for it and registering it. After the 30th day the Trial screen will no longer allow usage of the software.

Purchasing the software You can purchase and get your unlock code on the Internet, Click on the button on the trial screen and you will go to a page on our site that has a PayPal button. They will process your payment then just e-mail us your installed serial number as it appears on the "Trial" screen along with the name of the program and we will e-mail you the unlock code


Alternative purchase method If for any reason the pay by PayPal on the Internet is not the way you want to handle payment then send a check or money order in US funds for the software purchase price to Less-Mess.com 40 Kietzke Lane, Reno Nevada 89502. Please include

 #2 The Name of the software Program

 #3  The serial number that is displayed on the Trial screen. 

The unlock code will be e-mailed to you upon receipt of funds.

An alternative for starving students and anyone else who is in a bind . . . If  you are unable to pay for our software at this time and you really need it just send us an e-mail at support@less-mess.com with an IOU saying when you think you can pay us and we will send you the Unlock code. Please respect the fact that this is a business and do not abuse this offer, but we are serious about this.

License terms When you purchase our software it is a license for 1 machine, however if you personally own 2 computers and need it on both just install it on the 2nd machine with the Setup.EXE and e-mail us the software name and the serial number of the second installation and your original purchase info and we will reply with the unlock code for the second installation.

If unlock code fails after system rebuild No big deal just e-mail us the software name and serial number displayed on the Trial screen and your original purchase info and we will reply with the unlock code.

If you upgrade to a new computer No big deal just reinstall with the Setup.EXE and e-mail us the software name and serial number displayed on the Trial screen and your original purchase information and we will reply with the unlock code.

  Uninstall If you decide you do not want this software just follow the procedure below

 #1 Double click on MY COMPUTER 

 #2 Double click on CONTROL PANEL 

 #3 Double click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS 

 #4 Double click on the program you want to remove 

 #5 Answer Yes that you want to completely remove the Program and it will be removed

You have a new version of a program I have already downloaded and paid for . . . how can I upgrade ? If you have purchased a program of ours and a later version is available on our Web Site and next to the version number is the notation "Upgrade OK"  . . . . then you may download the most current version and it should automatically unlock, if it does not no big deal we will be happy provide you with the Unlock Code at no cost.

The Calculator does not display decimal computations correctly here is the fix . . . Go to your Control Panel and then select Regional Settings then select Number and then set the decimal symbol to a .  (dot or period) . . . . . it should never be a , (comma)
